This comfortable rental apartment in an extraordinary setting, is attached to a large rustic home on 20 acres of forested mountain side. The house and apartment were built in 2003 by your hosts Alan and Ann Hodge. The apartment has one bedroom on the second floor with a queen size bed. The bathroom is off of the bedroom. Additional guests can sleep on a full sized futon in the living room. You can make meals in your own well-equipped kitchen and have coffee or hot chocolate while enjoying mountain views.

I lived in Alan’s wonderful apartment for a 14 week job placement. The apartment felt like “home”. It is clean, spacious, and located in a perfect setting for relaxing or adventuring out. Within a short drive are: Hiking trails, skiing, breweries, wineries, and a lake. Alan and his family are truly kind people. Always there when needed, yet giving any privacy wanted. I cannot thank them enough for making my time away from my family a good experience.

Our family had such a wonderful time at Cub Creek Mt Gateway that we stayed an extra day! We enjoyed the nature’s surrounding (forest, mountains and stream) and it brought us serenity after visiting NYC and Washington, DC. The owner is very nice, helpful and responsive. The apartment was very clean, comfortable beds with white sheets and plenty towels, it suited our needs perfectly. Internet worked fast. We did go to see beautiful Crab Tree Falls then stopped by Montebello Fish Hatchery and fished in the nearby Fishing Resort. Our son caught 14″ rainbow trout there and we grilled it for a dinner that night. Grill worked great, also good for the morning toasts for a whole family at once. We would recommend this property to anyone and would like to stay there again!

It was so peaceful to hear the running stream just beyond your home! We loved all the books and resources you provided. For many years we have rent big house at top of wintergreen… But this year, we have tried this one, no more BIG climbs at the end of each ride. The owner let us use his garage to store the bikes and a water tap with a hose is available to clean the bikes. Also, you will find a grocery, a pharmacy and a nice brewery at less than 10 minutes. Thanks Alan! We all enjoyed our week in your apartment
